Book 4: Redstone Part I

Small but tricky …

There are a few red stone hacks inside this building. Most of them require nothing more than a redstone torch or some redstone dust for wiring a lever.

Yet, as tiny and simple a mechanism might be, insight a given and limited space of an existing architecture, make everything fitting can become a challenge.

1. Frigidaire

In the kitchen you find a working fridge that will drop some foodstuff every time you open it with the lever.

Furthermore, you can get more foodstuff by searching inside.

Please, close the door afterwords to save energy.

2. Cupboards

The cupboard has no mechanism, but it was a bit tricky to set all these trapdoors without having them opening on their own due to the redstone wiring in the wall, that makes the shower working in the bathroom next door.

At the end, we had to redesign the shower a few times.

3. Trapdoors and doors

Within an existing building, the design is given by the limiting architecture. Often simple things like another quartz trapdoor could not be set due to the lack of space for setting a torch or lever.

In other occasions, it was hart to find the right position for the door opening button or pressure plate in order to keep it still functional.

This was especially true for the door in the bathroom on the ground floor and the door of the elevator service room just opposite to it.
