The Mezzanine is an entresol which gives the whole design of the living room some playfulness.
But the truth is, due to the piston mechanics of the elevator, it was not possible to go up more than 5 blocks and we had to lift in two steps.
This created an additional stop in between ground floor and first floor. In order to give some meaning to this, a small glass balcony and the mezzanine where designed.
The mezzanine serves foremost as an area for map making, reading books, like this here and listen music. You can also put the music on here in order to give some ambience to the dining room.
The only problem this space gives, is that everybody forgets to water the plants.
